Obituary for Mary Kinzie Mitchell (Gallion)
Mary Gallion Mitchell, 82, of Salem, was carried away by the angels on Friday, May 31, 2019.
Mary was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School, class of 1955. Throughout her life she has passed time playing the piano or doing crossword puzzles. While she had no children of her own, she devoted her love toward her nieces and nephews as they grew up. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends, as well as all of the lives she has touched during her life.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Irene Gallion; sister, Louise G. Chittum; and brother, Clifford Gallion.
She is survived by a brother, Al Gallion (Faye) of Texas; and sisters, Marlene G. Bray of Ohio, and Imogene Fulcher of Salem. She also leaves behind two nieces, Kathy Gallion and Angela Fulcher Thompson; four nephews, Donnie, Terry, and David Gallion, as well as John Bray; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins are also left to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park.
