I am deeply saddened to hear that the world has lost this amazing, spicy and unforgettable man. I will cherish the years of fond memories that we created together as he was an important part of my life's journey. He had a remarkable way of making people feel special and could lighten up any bad day. His zest for life was impossible to hide and I believe he lived every day as though it could be the last and he did not want to miss out on anything new or adventurous. He did not know a stranger and could make friends with anyone from the elite to the indigent - he saw way past social status and looked at every person in their best light. Our last conversation was all about his pride for his lovely daughter. I have not met her but she must know how special she is and how much he loved her. My heart goes out to his family and the multitude of friends that will lament this sudden and devastating loss. Tonya Barrows Morris, Wilmington NC
