David Lee Atkins, Sr., 74, of Salem, passed away peacefully at his home on April 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Omar and Mary Atkins; sister, Patricia Sellers, and brothers, Jack and Michael Atkins.

He is survived by wife, Kay; sons, David Atkins, Jr. and Erin Barger; daughters, Chelsea Skelley and Kimberly Marshall; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His pride and joy were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and our extended family who knew him as “Pops”. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
