Bonnie Sue McCormack, 71, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Salem Terrace at Harrogate.
Bonnie is remembered for being a devoted and loving mother, wife and grandmother. She loved all animals; and cherished her family, especially her grandson Matthew. She served as the Treasurer of Salem for two consecutive terms. Her loved ones she has left behind, have found comfort in knowing that she is not alone, and has been reunited with her son Marc McCormack in heaven.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Robert Carter and a son, Marc McCormack.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Carter; son, David McCormack; and grandson, Matthew McCormack.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, from 6-8:00 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home and Crematory. A Committal service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park Abbey.
The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their endless compassion, care, and support.

Bonnie and I were really good friends. We had a lot in common. We both lost our father's the same way. I know we all will miss her. We know she is in Heaven with her son and father for Father's Day. Please take care of Ms Carter she will need someone.

I knew Bonnie from the time she was 5 years old and I was 6. We both lived on Indiana Street in Salem and would walk to each others house to play. Bonnie was a sweet girl and grew up to be a beautiful lady, completely devoted to her family including her Mother and Dad. I'm so sorry that she had to suffer so much from that dreadful disease but know that through it all she always put her family first. If she were alive today, she would be comforting my daughter who was just diagnosed with the same health condition that Bonnie had. Bonnie was a compassionate, loving and caring mother and friend and will be missed greatly by all who knew her. I am sorry for Bonnie's mother who must go on without Bonnie but hope she can understand that Bonnie is now completely healed and in heaven. My mother and I will never forget Bonnie. Love you, Ann White Kirby and Hazel White
